About
I started out as a web developer in the .com boom (ASP and PHP3), moved to backend services (VB6, .NET), then to desktop (C#) and mobile apps (Obj-C, Swift).
I got involved in Camden Market by creating the software that ran the market, handling all traders, payments, leases, and the full retail environment, Market Manager.
When the market came into the ownership of a tech billionaire, I was offered an interesting new challenge, leading me to CIO, and designing and building the full technology stacks for not only the greatly enlarged market Camden Market and Hawley Wharf, but the full portfolio of the business's verticals including Labs.com and Stay.com, going through IPO and back to private ownership along the way.
After the pandemic, I relocated to Portugal, started consulting in Cloud Solutions Architecture and Software Development, which led me to CTO of a startup in Barcelona. Designing a solution for fully automated and unmanned self storage facilities.
I am now back to consulting in Cloud Solutions Architecture, also porting legacy applications to the cloud, and designing and implementing cloud-based business process automation solutions utilising AI.
